Your team delivers the events. Who's accountable for whether they work?

Fractional Commercial Director, Event Portfolios.
Event Director & Producer.
Presenter.

Most people who can direct a live event can't tell you what it's actually there to achieve. Most people who can shape a commercial strategy have never stood in a room and brought hundreds of moving parts together at exactly the right moment, live, with one chance to get it right. I've spent twenty five years being both, well over a thousand events for some of the world’s leading organisations across Australia, Asia, the US and Europe.

Today that shows up in two ways. I still direct and produce a select number of events each year, for organisations who want it done at the standard it deserves.
And for organisations who run events regularly, I take on the commercial and strategic thinking, the person accountable for whether their events are working and aligned to their business, not just for running them well.

Events Are One of the Best Relationship Tools a Business Has

Most organisations measure an event by the delivery cost. The ones that get real, growing investment in their programs measure something else: what the relationships behind them are worth over years, across everything from a single flagship event to a full annual calendar.

A member's first experience of your conference shapes whether they renew for the next decade. A sponsor's first well run activation decides whether they scale their commitment or quietly let it lapse. A major flagship event, a product launch, an industry conference, a public celebration, does more than fill a venue for its duration, it sets how the market sees a brand for the year that follows.

That case rarely gets made, not because the value isn't real, but because nobody has translated it into the language a board funds decisions in.

How I Work With Organisations

Fractional Commercial Director, Event Portfolios

I own the commercial and operational performance of an organisation's event portfolio. The person accountable for ensuring the event(s) actually work for the business.

Event Direction & Executive Production

I still direct and produce a small number of events each year, by choice. When the stakes are high and the outcome can't be left to chance, this is where I step in personally. The strategy, the vision, the plan, and the delivery with executive level leadership over the full event lifecycle.

Keynote Speaking

Practical, experience led keynotes that shift thinking, create alignment and set clear standards for performance, resilience and leadership.

Two Halves of One Job

The Commercial Half The Operational Half
What the portfolio truly costs and returns How it's designed, planned and run
Board-ready reporting, every cycle Fixing what repeats every year
Why it earns more investment, not less Why it actually does what it's for

Some people are strong on one side of this. I've spent twenty five years building both.

SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS

Brad Cocks is fast becoming one of Australia's most sought after presenters, speaking openly about curiosity and courage, in business and in life. His stories are honest rather than polished, resilience and leadership learned inside one of the most stressful industries in the world, built through his own relentless pursuit of personal challenges, hitting breaking point more than once, and finding his way back.

His keynotes leave audiences with a genuine sense of what's achievable when vision, purpose and a clear plan meet a simple question: why not me.
